The Touch Duo silicone case for the iPod touch is overall an excellent case. The case features many great things such as a full screen shield, buttons are accessible through the case, the USB connector hole has a plug and much more! One of the great features of this case is the screen shield. It’s a plastic shield that easily snaps right onto the case covering the screen and protecting it from scratches. Although you cannot use your device with the shield on, it is a great way to protect you device while in your pocket or while traveling. The silicone is thinner where the buttons are so that they can be used through the case. The home button is also covered with silicone. One of my favorite features of the case is the plug that fits into the USB connector hole keeping it from getting filled with dust, dirt, etc. To wrap up, the case is very stylish and comes in several colors. It is textured on the back making it easy to keep a good grip on it while using it in your hand. This case sells for around $35 on their website iskin.com and it might also be available in some stores. To view the video unboxing and review of this case click here.

Custom folders on a mac!

folder to folder

I just found this out a few days ago. I’m sure all of you life time mac users have already heard of this but I thought I’d share it with you! On most macs the folder icon is simply a blue folder. What’s cool is that you can customize those folders icon to whatever you want. Some people remove an icon all together and keep private folders not viewable unless the user knows where it is on the desktop.

You simply get an image, and turn it into an “.icns” format so that the image is now an icon. You can do this with this program converter or you can just simply rename the image “.icns” and preview will ask you to confirm the switch. After you have done that, right click your new icon and select “Get info”. At the top left of the window you will see the your new image. Click on the image so that a blue glow appears around it. Then got to file copy or hit Command – C on your keyboard. You can now close that window. Now open the folder you want to change the same way by right clicking and selecting “Get info”. Like before you will see an image in the top left, this time being the folder icon. Select the folder icon so that a blue glow appears around it like before and this time go to file paste or Command – V on your keyboard. You should now see your new icon in the top left of the window. Now close that window. Your folder (wherever it is) should now have that image instead of the folder icon. That’s it! If you aren’t good at creating an icon or this is too complicated for you, you can go here which will take you to apple.com where you can download hundreds of custom folders! There are many tutorials on YouTube for this as well if this post was too hard to follow!

Steve is back!

Today at Apple’s “It’s Only Rock and Roll” event in San Francisco Steve Jobs was back! While entering the stage he received a standing ovation from the crowd! About 5 months ago Steve Jobs underwent a liver transplant. He told the story of the mid 20′s person who died in a car crash who donated their liver to Steve. He deeply thanked them for their generosity! He also thanked the Apple community who supported him through his surgery. That’s about it, Steve is back and is expected to be seen at all future Apple events!

Microsoft Office 2010

Posted in News by Logan Bohbot on September 7, 2009 5 Comments

When the new Microsoft Office comes out in the first half of 2010, Microsoft expects a lot of business and personal computer users to go out and buy it.  It has a lot of new features but the one major difference that is visible is shown in the Outlook application. That feature would be the different paste options you can perform.  I am not talking about the Control C then Control V, I am talking about merging the formatting to the right and the left instead of just the alignment options the offer. These new features in all of the programs are very interesting and helpful. But how much will this product be? Well, the price has not been announced yet but it should be same usual price of $39.9 which is the one user option.
