Mophie Juice Pack Air

One of the best iPhone accessories that I have reviewed and recieved the most use out of has been the original Mophie Juice Pack. It is the perfect accessory on long trips such as flights and car rides. My main issue with it was it did not completely cover the iPhone 3G causing it to ruin the aesthetic appearance of Apple’s sleek phone and it was bulky. Thankfully Mophie resolved that issue by housing a rechargeable 1200mAh lithium polymer battery inside of a form fitting iPhone case. With the release of the Mophie Juice Pack Air the user is able to carry a spare battery and a case all in one.

The earlier Juice Pack was on all the time but for this newer model, Mophie also included an on/off switch for the battery so that you are not left wondering if the iPhone is being charged. The four LED charge status lights found on the original Juice Pack are still found on the back of the Mophie Juice Pack Air. Now you can carry an iPhone 3G with three times the battery capacity, all in a protective hard shell case.

The Mophie Juice Pack Air comes in a black card board package with the device prominently pictured on the front of the box. Since this is an Apple certified product it has the “Works with iPhone” sticker displayed on the top corner of the package. On the rear of the box one finds a list of features and specs as well as an opening to check the LED charge status. Mophie pre-charges the device, so you are ready to roll as soon as the case/battery is taken out for use.

No More Wallets

This new product is made by pocketpack. This new case for the iPhone 3G/3Gs sells for $34.99 on the companies website as their only product at this time. The case is suppose to be a great way to not have to carry around a wallet. Instead you will be able to hook your credit cards/ID cards right onto the back of your iPhone.

In my opinion, though I believe this company will not be making much profit on their first product, the sides are cut a little too open causing the case to be thick. Lots of people do not like thick cases. Also I believe many teenagers will not be interested in this case due to the fact that they do not have credit cards. Overall I think that the case looks very nice and is pretty sleek. If you have credit cards or ID’s this case might be for you!

What do you think? Please post a few comments on anything that you would like to see reviewed or would like to see a post about.

The Future is Friendly with the iPhone!

telusiPhone

A few days ago Telus announced that this November they will be getting the iPhone 3GS in Canada. The rights to the iPhone in Canada with Rogers expired meaning it was available for all companies. Telus jumped on it right away! Of course the iPhone is still available with Rogers as well, but a lot of people currently stuck on Telus contracts who want the iPhone can now have their wish come true! It is not clear what the plans are going to be like, if they are going to be cheaper with Telus or Rogers, they might be the same. The future truly is friendly with Telus and the iPhone!

MMS For iPhone

Posted in News by Logan Bohbot on October 7, 2009 No Comments yet

When you upgrade to the new iPhone 3.1 Firmware you get some really cool features. One is the very popular MMS. MMS stands for Multi Media Messaging.  The SMS appearance is the same except for the fact that right next to the text input there is a little tiny camera. When you tap on the camera you see an action sheet that will say “Take Photo Or Video or Choose Existing”. Depending on what you choose is what you can do! If you click on the first option, it will open the camera application. Once you take your media, on the bottom it will say “Choose or Retake” If you hit “Choose” it will take that media and put it in the text field where you can then write your message. If you hit “Choose Existing” it will open up your photo library where you can choose your media. It will then import the video to the text field. It is a little slow right now, maybe they will do some upgrades.
