Google Instant, the new way to make a search on Google is already catching many people’s attention. They’re claiming that it will cut down your search by 2-5 seconds. When you start typing something into the search box it it automatically begins showing results from what it thinks you’re looking for. For example if you type “Your” it will show results with the word “Your” in them. If you type “YourTech” everything with those words will appear. If what you want still isn’t there, you type “YourTechStop” and the website link will be right in front of you. During typing, there are also grey letters in front of what you’re typing to suggest what you are looking for. If what Google guesses is right, you’re done! Visit Google to try it out for yourself. With so many iPad folio cases out there, it’s really hard to find one that’s actually worth the price. Luckily I’ve come across the Roadster Folio Case by Logiix. It’s strong and well built while maintaining a thin, sleek and professional looking design. The exterior is a nice simple carbon fibre pattern. As soon as you open the case you’ll find well stitched pockets on the interior of the cover great for keeping credit cards or notes. Unlike other folio cases which simply hold the iPad inside with cheap straps that even cover some controls, the roadster folio features a full iPad cover while keeping all controls accessible at the same time. The interior of the case where the iPad is secured is soft fabric keeping it safe from scratches or marks. The biggest highlight of the case for me is it’s incline. Today at Apple’s annual September iPod event they unveiled a full new line of iPods. Before I get into detail about those I also want to mention that iOS 4.1 for the iPhone and iPod touch will be available this week. Other than Game Centre being added it’s mostly bug fixes. 4.2 is coming in November for the iPad with all of the new features like multitasking. First Apple introduced the new iPod shuffle. The original buttons have been re added and of course voice over is still their as well. The iPod nano has been literally cut in half. The click wheel is gone and has been replaced with an incredible multitouch screen with icons which you can interact with much like and iOS device. The new iPod nano is only slightly larger than the iPod shuffle. Apple also introduced its new iPod touch which by popular demand has been suited up with an HD camera on the back as well as a front facing camera for FaceTime. Apple’s wireless keyboard can be used for many different things. Its main uses are of course for a Mac, iPad and now even iPhone. Since the release of iOS 4 the iPhone can now connect to a wireless keyboard as well. The keyboard connects simply over bluetooth, there is no receiver to plug into your computer. It’s also incredibly light and thin taking up virtually no space on your desk. It takes just 2 AA batteries which last a good 2 months if you turn it off while it’s not in use. As far as the exterior of the keyboard, it’s the same aluminum as Macs, has plastic keys and plastic on the bottom. The only thing it’s missing is light up keys but I can understand why they’re not there to improve battery usage. The wireless keyboard also works wonders for the iPad. The iPad goes from a tablet to a laptop in a matter of seconds by connecting it in the settings. Of course it works the exact same way with the iPhone as well.
