iPad Protection – Griffin Elan Passport

Just picked up your brand new iPad? As you’ve probably realized by now the iPad is pretty fragile. Although the touch screen glass is scratch proof it’s still susceptible to other damage if it’s dropped or mishandled. To make sure your beautiful new device stays safe don’t go without taking a look at the Griffin Elan Passport folio case. It’s going to ding you about $50 but honestly for the cost of the iPad it’s definitely necessary. The case is made of what seems to be fake leather, they don’t give any details on the material. In just a few seconds you can secure your iPad in the elastic straps. The case closes like a book with a little strap onto the iPad. This is not only great for protecting the screen when it’s not in use, it also gives your iPad some disguise. When asked, most people thought it was just simply an agenda! The inside sleeve of the case features a pocket and slots for things like credit cards. We figured out that the case can also stand up perfectly for watching videos. The only downside about the case is that the sides are left wide open. Although this does allow you to access the controls on the sides of the device it provides virtually no protection from rain etc. The case is great for around the house but traveling outdoors with your device protection from weather is pretty much nonexistent! Get Electronics Clean – Get Cyber Clean!

Posted in Reviews by Alec Morgana on May 13, 2010 No Comments yet

I’m sure you’ve all seen the commercial on TV many times. The magical putty that supposedly gets the dirt out from the cracks of electronics such as keyboards and vehicle interiors. It just looked too good to be true and I had to get my hands on some of it! They kindly sent some of their slime out to me and I put it to the test! To my amazement the stuff worked marvellously! I tested it on a keyboard as well as a TV remote, my iPhone and a few other accessories. The most incredible test was the iPhone. If you have an iPhone I’m sure you’ve experienced dust and dirt build up inside the speakers on the underside and inside the silent lock button. I followed the instructions from the Cyber Clean website and when I lifted up the putty from my iPhone I was absolutely shocked to see that all of the dirt and dust was gone from those areas and my iPhone looks new again! If you would like to experience some of my excitement over this product you can pick some up for yourself at CyberClean.tv or watch our video unboxing and review of the amazing CyberClean! I literally ran around my house after recording the video and cleaned everything I could with it because it is just so fun to play with. Talk about putting the fun in chores kids!

Microsoft LifeCam Cinema HD

Posted in Reviews by Alec Morgana on January 12, 2010 1 Comment

The Microsoft LifeCam Cinema HD is an extraordinary webcam. It shoots incredible high definition, widescreen video. The webcam is also equipped with a digital microphone including noise canceling technology which has little feedback and sounds pretty good. One of my favorite features of the webcam is the flexible mount on the underside used for attaching the product to your computer or elsewhere. The mount bends forward and backward making it the perfect fit for any monitor. The outer body is made of aluminum and looks very nice. Another thing I was surprised about was the size of the webcam, it is substantially smaller than I anticipated when looking at it on the internet. This webcam is going to cost you somewhere around $90.00 and is not what people usually pay for a webcam. While it films beautifully on a PC, using the webcam with a Mac is not quite the same experience. The quality is reduced, the frame rate drops and auto focus doesn’t work. While all of this sounds terrible, overall it is a very professional and good quality webcam. Make sure you keep all of that in mind when purchasing this product. The INSIGNIA iPod Speaker System

Posted in Reviews by Alec Morgana on January 2, 2010

If you’re looking for a nice clock radio for your iPod, don’t forget to check out the Insignia iPod Speaker System! While you’re crawling out of bed, why not wake up to some music from the radio or even your iPod. This speaker system allows you to play and even control the music from your iPod with buttons on the top. I think the sound quality coming out of the system is very clear and crisp. It can also go quite loud allowing you to use it in a large room at a party for example. It features a stunning blue light clock display making it very easy to see the time at night without lights on. The only thing I really didn’t like about this product was the fact that it is very big. Many speaker systems are nice and compact but this one seems to stick out a little too much at the back. Although, if you have a large bed side table you should definitely keep the Insignia iPod Speaker System in mind. To view the video unboxing and review click here. PLEASE NOTE: This product does not work with the iPhone!

Griffin PowerDock 2

Posted in Reviews by Alec Morgana on November 18, 2009 1 Comment

With its sleek, silver, and smooth design much like the aluminum macbooks the Griffin PowerDock 2 is by far the best docking station I have found for apple devices. The dock hold two devices at a time. It comes with 8 different adapters fitting with almost every device. Visit their website for the full list of compatible apple devices. The dock comes with a cord to plug into the wall with a very long cable great for putting your dock wherever you want! It is very easy to attach and detach your device from dock. The cable connecting to the back of the dock is also a very snug fit as well. The dock has yet again another great feature! The dock has thick rubber on the bottom to ensure it does not fall off of the table or desk or wherever you put it. It has happened before with other products…

If you are the type of person who does not like to take the case off of your device don’t worry. Unfortunately the case will not fit on if you are using an adapter on the dock but if you decide to leave the adapter off, there is lots of room around the plug for your case to fit nicely.
