The INSIGNIA iPod Speaker System

Posted in Reviews by Alec Morgana on January 2, 2010

If you’re looking for a nice clock radio for your iPod, don’t forget to check out the Insignia iPod Speaker System! While you’re crawling out of bed, why not wake up to some music from the radio or even your iPod. This speaker system allows you to play and even control the music from your iPod with buttons on the top. I think the sound quality coming out of the system is very clear and crisp. It can also go quite loud allowing you to use it in a large room at a party for example. It features a stunning blue light clock display making it very easy to see the time at night without lights on. The only thing I really didn’t like about this product was the fact that it is very big. Many speaker systems are nice and compact but this one seems to stick out a little too much at the back. Although, if you have a large bed side table you should definitely keep the Insignia iPod Speaker System in mind. To view the video unboxing and review click here. PLEASE NOTE: This product does not work with the iPhone!

Griffin PowerDock 2

Posted in Reviews by Alec Morgana on November 18, 2009 1 Comment

With its sleek, silver, and smooth design much like the aluminum macbooks the Griffin PowerDock 2 is by far the best docking station I have found for apple devices. The dock hold two devices at a time. It comes with 8 different adapters fitting with almost every device. Visit their website for the full list of compatible apple devices. The dock comes with a cord to plug into the wall with a very long cable great for putting your dock wherever you want! It is very easy to attach and detach your device from dock. The cable connecting to the back of the dock is also a very snug fit as well. The dock has yet again another great feature! The dock has thick rubber on the bottom to ensure it does not fall off of the table or desk or wherever you put it. It has happened before with other products…

If you are the type of person who does not like to take the case off of your device don’t worry. Unfortunately the case will not fit on if you are using an adapter on the dock but if you decide to leave the adapter off, there is lots of room around the plug for your case to fit nicely. touch Duo Silicone Case – iSkin.com

The Touch Duo silicone case for the iPod touch is overall an excellent case. The case features many great things such as a full screen shield, buttons are accessible through the case, the USB connector hole has a plug and much more! One of the great features of this case is the screen shield. It’s a plastic shield that easily snaps right onto the case covering the screen and protecting it from scratches. Although you cannot use your device with the shield on, it is a great way to protect you device while in your pocket or while traveling. The silicone is thinner where the buttons are so that they can be used through the case. The home button is also covered with silicone. One of my favorite features of the case is the plug that fits into the USB connector hole keeping it from getting filled with dust, dirt, etc. To wrap up, the case is very stylish and comes in several colors. It is textured on the back making it easy to keep a good grip on it while using it in your hand. This case sells for around $35 on their website iskin.com and it might also be available in some stores. To view the video unboxing and review of this case click here.

Duracell iPhone Charger

Posted in News by Logan Bohbot on September 4, 2009 1 Comment

We’ve all seen those mini cellphone rechargers at airports, but Duracell has released a line of rechargeable pocket chargers that can refill any USB compatible device (like iPhones and iPod touches) through compatibility with your own adapters. And our favorite model is cheap. The new device instant charger will be $20, on the down side it will have less power to ice when you have the Powerhouse Charger for $50 with more power to give. The power house gives you 180 minutes of 3G talk time… The powerhouse has a USB pull out with allows you to pull it out and plug it in directly to your blackberry. But how is the power reached to the device. Well the answer is you put in a battery in the device and your off and running a very good and reliable device for a power charger.

iPod Touch 3rd Generation Camera

ipod-touch-camera-2-1

The iPod Touch 3rd Generation has a lot of new features. But the one that everyone is probably predicting is the feature of the camera. There is no stable source that the camera will be in the new iPod Touch although it is a pretty safe bet. They have been photos leaked on various websites such as www.ipodrepublic.com where there is a camera built in. It should consist of the same features the iPhone camera has except no video camera. That feature will probably come out on the iPod touch 4G if there is a camera in the 3G. A camera would be a great edition to the new iPod, and is probably a pretty safe bet that the new iPod will have a camera.
